I proofread and copyedit books, magazines, academic papers, PhD theses, reports, course materials, websites, guides and articles.

My portfolio includes Sunday Times bestsellers, British Book Awards shortlisted titles, children’s books and magazines, art and history publications, conservation reports and culture websites.

I apply a 10% discount for charities that align with my specialities.

Proofreading services include checking and correcting:

  • formatting

  • accuracy and consistency

  • grammar, spelling, and punctuation

  • sentence construction and flow

Copyediting services include:

  • maintaining the author’s voice

  • fact checking

  • improving clarity and readability

  • suggestions to enhance the overall quality

I use Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat to digitally correct and comment.

Fees

My rate is from £29 per 3000 words, depending on requirements.

My minimum fee is £29.

My fee for proofreading a PhD thesis is £500.

For charities that support my specialities, I apply a 10% discount.
